LIMA, Peru, Aug. 26,  2026 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT)  has outlined a comprehensive industrial and social collaboration package for Peru, totaling $1.8 billion in economic value, as part of its F-16 Block 70 program. The package combines opportunities for co‑production of defense equipment and advanced unmanned aircraft systems, specialist‑led engineering training, and a new space academy curriculum. These initiatives are designed to integrate Peruvian firms into Lockheed Martin’s global supply chain, accelerating sustainable economic growth while strengthening the defense industrial bases of both Peru and the United States.

Projects offered as part of the F-16 Block 70 proposal include domestic assembly of an unmanned aerospace vehicle for the Latin American marketplace, joint research hubs and an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Technical Institute, knowledge transfer through advanced engineering and fighter‑maintenance courses, and expanding Peru’s high‑tech maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) footprint. The F-16 Block 70 program will also serve as a catalyst for the internationalization of Peru’s industrial capabilities, positioning the country as a regional hub for advanced unmanned systems and aerospace services.
