WASHINGTON, Dec. 17, 2025 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and 4iG Space and Defence Technologies Zrt. have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a tailored solution that will provide the Hungarian Defence Forces with a long-range rocket artillery system. This effort maximizes existing and combat-proven components and is intended for integration in Hungary.
THE BIG PICTURE
Under the agreement, the companies will explore a collaboration framework that supports the local integration of Lockheed Martin’s artillery rocket system launcher loader module (LLM) on Hungarian military trucks.
WHY IT MATTERS
- By combining their unique expertise and complementary skills, Lockheed Martin and 4iG Space and Defence Technologies seek to tackle pressing defence and security issues.
- The Lockheed Martin artillery rocket system LLM can be armed with a loadout of one ATACMS, two PrSM, six Standard-Range GMLRS or six Extended-Range GMLRS missiles. It offers a high degree of interoperability and interchangeability with fielded M270A2 and HIMARS launchers, making it an ideal solution for military forces operating in Europe.
- Lockheed Martin is committed to enhancing the Hungarian Defence Forces’ NATO-compatible long-range fire support capabilities while bringing high value-added activities to Hungary, in full alignment with the required U.S. and Hungarian governmental approvals.
EXPERT PERSPECTIVES
