Faith Technologies Honored as 2016 LCS Supplier of the Year
Faith Technologies was named Lockheed Martin’s 2016 LCS Supplier of the Year at the Surface Navy Association National Symposium on Jan. 10.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 19, 2017 – Recognized for their track record of exceptional performance and commitment to affordability, Faith Technologies was named as the 2016 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Littoral Combat Ship Supplier of the Year at the 29th annual Surface Navy Association National Symposium on Jan. 10.

“Faith Technologies has been an excellent LCS partner, consistently demonstrating its value to the program and our U.S. Navy customer,” said Joe North, vice president of Littoral Ships and Systems for Lockheed Martin. “The quality of their work is evident in each of the four ships we have delivered to date.”

Headquartered in Menasha, Wisconsin, Faith Technologies supplies turn-key electrical services to the Lockheed Martin LCS team, working principally for the team’s shipbuilder Fincantieri Marinette Marine. Faith Technologies was honored by the team for its commitment to delivering its work on time and on budget.

“It is our privilege to work on the Lockheed Martin Littoral Combat Ship program and we are deeply honored by this recognition,” said George Van Der Linden, group president for Faith Technologies. “Our skilled team works side-by-side with Lockheed Martin and Fincantieri Marinette Marine to build capable Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ships for the U.S. Navy.

The Lockheed Martin-led industry team is currently in full-rate production of the Freedom-variant, with six ships under construction at Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) and three more in long-lead material procurement. Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ships have sailed more than 225,000 nautical miles to date.

“Faith Technologies has been a supplier of FMM since July 2013,” said Jan Allman, president and CEO of Fincantieri Marinette Marine. “Their commitment to efficiency and continuous improvements has made Faith a dedicated partner and an integral part of the LCS Program.”

The ship’s open architecture and affordable price enables the U.S. Navy to provide presence where and when needed at a fraction of the cost of other platforms. The Freedom-variant’s steel monohull is based on a proven, resilient design recognized for its stability and reliability. With 40 percent reconfigurable shipboard space, the hull is ideally suited to accommodate additional lethality and survivability upgrades associated with the Freedom-variant Frigate.

The Lockheed Martin-led LCS team is comprised of shipbuilder Fincantieri Marinette Marine, naval architect Gibbs & Cox, and more than 500 suppliers in 37 states.
