Lockheed Martin CEO Honored with 2017 Howard Hughes Memorial Award

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Aero Club of Southern California yesterday honored Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO Marillyn Hewson as the 39th recipient of the Howard Hughes Memorial Award.

"Marillyn joins an illustrious group of former aerospace legends," said John Stammreich, Aero Club president. "She exemplifies the spirit of this award through her bold leadership and significant contributions to driving innovation in aerospace."

Established in 1978 by the Hughes family, the award is presented annually to an aerospace leader whose accomplishments have significantly furthered the advancement of aviation or space technology.
