GAITHERSBURG, Md., Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announces Wisdom EDR, an innovative endpoint solution that combines Lockheed Martin Threat intelligence with  Cybereason's Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Platform, a real-time platform for detection of cyber-attacks. It was formally launched today at the RSA 2016 conference in San Francisco.

"We often look to our partners to help shape and create best practices and products," said Angie Heise, vice president, Lockheed Martin Commercial Cyber. "We have been working with Cybereason to do just that. Cybereason's market-leading endpoint threat detection and response capabilities complement our cyber security offerings, providing customers a best-of-breed EDR solution that is driven by our unique threat feed intelligence and enhanced by our powerful 'analyst on demand' program. We want to both formally welcome this company into Lockheed Martin's Cyber Security Alliance and launch our Wisdom EDR solution powered by Cybereason here at RSA."

Lockheed Martin Commercial Cyber is focused on developing, implementing, maintaining and securing critical infrastructures for Fortune 1000 and Global 1000 companies. The organization's approach is based on an Intelligence Driven Defense® philosophy that focuses on harnessing information from those who seek to attack, and using it against them.

Cybereason provides unmatched visibility and detection of adversarial activity on enterprise endpoints. Silent Sensors, agents placed on all end points within an enterprise, continuously collect and transparently communicate to the Cybereason Malop Hunting Engine, a big data, behavioral analytics platform designed to reveal malicious operations, known as Malops.  Malops are intuitively presented on the Incident and Response Console. This visual representation reveals the five TRACE elements of every attack: Timeline, Root Cause, Adversarial Activity, Communication and affected Endpoints and users. Lockheed Martin takes this capability to its next logical step, enhancing the Malops Hunting Engine's data analytics capability with threat feed intelligence from the Lockheed Martin-Computer Incidence Response Team (LM-CIRT) and backing up the end user analysts with its "Analyst on Demand" program.

"Organizations will significantly benefit from the first solution to incorporate Lockheed Martin's threat intelligence feed into an advanced EDR solution. The combination of Lockheed Martin's Threat Intelligence, the Cybereason Detection and Response Platform and Lockheed Martin's leading Analyst services is a winning trifecta for enterprises combating advance persistent threats targeting their organizations," said Lior Div, CEO, Cybereason. "Launching Wisdom EDR, powered by Cybereason, is proof positive that market leaders like Lockheed Martin believe in the merits of our enterprise EDR platform to detect and mitigate advanced attacks."

Cybereason joins a host of industry-leading Cyber Security Alliance partners, including: APC by Schneider Electric, CA, Cisco, Citrix, CyberPoint, Dell, EMC Corporation and its RSA security division, FireEye, HP and its ArcSight division, Intel and Intel Security (formerly McAfee), Juniper Networks, LogRhythm, Microsoft, NetApp, Radware, Red Hat, Splunk, Symantec, Trustwave, Solutionary, Verizon and VMware.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that - with the addition of Sikorsky - employs approximately 126,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
