Sikorsky Helitech Becomes First Authorized S-92® Helicopter Customer Support Center

Feb. 25, 2015 – Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. today announced at the Avalon Air Show that Sikorsky Helitech has become the first Sikorsky-authorized S-92® helicopter Customer Support Center in the world. The Customer Support Center will operate out of Sikorsky Helitech in Brisbane, Australia, and will offer maintenance services for Australian and regional operators of S-92 aircraft. The announcement was made at the Avalon Air Show. Sikorsky Helitech, which operates in Australia as Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited, is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
“Sikorsky Helitech has provided great support for our customers since becoming a Sikorsky company in 2003,” said Peter Grant, Director of Aftermarket Operations for Sikorsky Commercial Systems & Services. “By recognizing Helitech as the first Sikorsky-authorized S-92 Customer Support Center, they have further validated and proven their ability to assist our fleet of more than 240 delivered S-92 helicopters.”
The Customer Support Center enables quicker access to Sikorsky’s logistics and spare parts inventory for S-92 operators in the region, as well as advanced service capabilities. Sikorsky Helitech is already a support center for the S-76® line of aircraft.

Sikorsky has delivered more than 240 S-92 helicopters to customers throughout the world and in 2014, Sikorsky celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the S-92 helicopter. The fleet has reached more than 800,000 flight hours, with nearly 90 percent of those hours providing offshore oil and gas worker transportation.
