Milwaukee, Wisconsin - UTC Aerospace Systems has renewed its distribution agreement with Derco Aerospace, Inc., a Sikorsky company, to support the VPV 54H60 Propeller Program that was recently awarded to UTC Aerospace Systems by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).  Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. and UTC Aerospace Systems are units of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

“The relationship between Derco Aerospace and UTC Aerospace Systems ensures continued success for the United States Air Force,” said Brian Holt, President of Derco Aerospace, Inc. “The history of the two organizations working together is something that Derco is very proud of and looks forward to continuing for many years to come.”
Earlier this year, UTC Aerospace Systems renewed a contract with the DLA for the 54H60 propeller systems in which Derco provides material support for over 500 parts in the program.  Derco Aerospace and UTC Aerospace Systems (at the time Hamilton Sundstrand) began working together on this program in 1995, with the most recent subcontract signed in 2003.  The renewed contract is for five years and has been expanded to include Derco managing storefront operations at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (ALC) for both UTC Aerospace Systems and Derco managed material.  “The longstanding relationship and success between UTC Aerospace Systems and Derco Aerospace provides us with utmost confidence that the United States Air Force is receiving the highest quality and turnaround times possible,” explained Timothy J. Geib, Manager Business Development & Strategy, UTC Aerospace Systems. “Derco has already established the new storefront operations at Warner Robins ALC, and we have seen positive results that we are confident will continue forward.”
