COHC Accepts Delivery of S-92® Helicopter

Zhuhai, China - Sikorsky today announced China’s CITIC Offshore Helicopter Company (COHC) has accepted delivery of its first S-92® helicopter. Sikorsky, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), announced the delivery at Airshow China in Zhuhai, China.

In June of 2013, COHC and Sikorsky signed for two S-92 helicopters to be used for offshore oil and gas transportation missions. COHC is expected to receive delivery of the second S-92 helicopter in March 2015. With the delivery, Sikorsky is now the only original equipment manufacturer to be associated with all three major offshore oil providers in China.

“The S-92 helicopter is proven worldwide and certified to the latest FAA/JAA standards,” said Audrey Brady, Director, S-92 Program for Sikorsky. “The S-92 will provide COHC with the modern aircraft capabilities needed to further develop its aviation and offshore oil industries.”

Established in 1983, COHC is a publicly traded company based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, where it is the largest provider of offshore transport operations.

“China continues to be a key commercial market for Sikorsky, and we look forward to continued business with COHC,” said Brady.

Sikorsky has delivered more than 200 S-92 helicopters to customers throughout the world. This year, Sikorsky is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the S-92 helicopter, which was first delivered in 2004. The fleet has reached more than 750,000 flight hours, with nearly 90 percent of those hours providing offshore oil and gas worker transportation. S-92 helicopters also perform search and rescue missions, heads of state missions, and a variety of transportation missions for utility and airline passengers.
