ROCKVILLE, Md., June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The General Services Administration (GSA) has selected Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and its teammates to provide operation, maintenance, enhancement and development services in support of its application infrastructure.
Under the CIO Applications, Maintenance, Enhancements, and Operations (CAMEO) contract, Lockheed Martin will provide technical architecture development, security services, software development support and other services. The CAMEO contract has been awarded as a task order under the GSA Alliant contract and is available for all of GSA.
The primary objective of the task order is to transform the applications of GSA's Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). "Our work on CAMEO will modernize GSA's portfolio of applications, systems and environments while maintaining stability on critical systems," said Paul Engola, vice president of Transportation & Financial Solutions for Lockheed Martin's Information Systems and Global Solutions. "Lockheed Martin is deeply committed to GSA's work in leveraging U.S. buying power, and thus saving taxpayer dollars. Together, we'll identify new cost savings and ultimately support the agency's mission to deliver the best value in acquisition and technology services."
