"We worked closely with the Coast Guard's to fully understand the challenge and then tailored the solution to meet their specific needs for security and performance while incorporating cost-effective commercial technologies," said Macy Summers, vice president of Advanced Development & Ventures at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions-Defense.

MONAXOffice will provide a secure, mobile link to IHiS with Common Access Card (CAC) authentication for tablets and Smartphones.

MONAXOffice will include wireless networks at each clinic that will be integrated with the Coast Guard's existing core network; centralized wireless network management capability; tablet devices; hardware for Common Access Card (CAC) authentication on tablets and smart phones; and mobile device management software.

As part of this pilot project, Lockheed Martin will install MONAXOffice at the Coast Guard's main Operations System Center and three clinics, and provide training as to how to integrate the system in other locations. The Coast Guard will subsequently implement MONAXOffice at 43 additional Coast Guard clinics.
