Three Lockheed Martin Leaders Named in Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Business

BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FORTUNE magazine has named three of Lockheed Martin's (NYSE: LMT) top executives to its 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list for the second year.

The magazine recognized Marillyn Hewson, Executive Vice President (EVP), Electronic Systems (#27), Joanne Maguire, EVP, Space Systems Company (#29) and Linda Gooden, EVP, Information Systems & Global Solutions (#33) for their leadership of three Lockheed Martin business areas which accounted for more than 70 percent of the corporation's 2010 revenue.

Under Hewson's leadership, Lockheed Martin Electronic Systems reported $14.4 billion in sales in 2010 with a portfolio that includes maritime systems, missile defense, platform integration, rotary wing systems, sensors, tactical missiles, unmanned systems, simulation and training, logistics, and energy.

Maguire's oversight of Lockheed Martin Space Systems resulted in $8.25 billion in sales in 2010. The division provides a broad array of advanced-technology systems for national security, civil, and commercial customers. Chief products include human space flight systems; a full range of remote sensing, navigation, meteorological, and communications satellites; strategic and missile defense systems; space observatories and interplanetary spacecraft.

Gooden has expanded Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions' portfolio of business this year, most recently with the acquisition of QTC Holdings Inc., the largest provider of medical evaluation services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2010, IS&GS reported $9.96 billion in revenue and celebrated 17 years as the number one IT provider to the federal government.

In addition, Lockheed Martin board member Rosalind Brewer, EVP and President, Walmart East, was named #23 on the list.
