BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lockheed Martin's (NYSE: LMT) Board of Directors today named Patrick M. Dewar, 49, as the corporation's new senior vice president, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, effective Oct. 1. Dewar, who currently serves as Lockheed Martin's International Business Development vice president, succeeds Robert H. Trice, 64, who has announced plans to retire in February.
"Pat's broad experience in domestic and international business and program management, coupled with his exemplary leadership and uncompromising integrity, make him the ideal successor to Bob to lead our outstanding team of business development professionals," said Lockheed Martin Chairman and CEO Bob Stevens. Assigned to his current role in January 2009, Dewar previously served as Business Development vice president for Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems Business Area. He has also held executive-level program management and business development positions in the Missiles and Fire Control and former Systems Integration-Owego business units. Dewar holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Swarthmore College and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
