"Project Lead The Way extends an extraordinary opportunity for the Norristown Area School District to provide our students with a vast array of advantages, from career readiness and hands-on experience to college preparatory-level classes, labs and creative opportunities," said Dr. Janet Samuels, Superintendent of Norristown Area School District. " As we prepare students for today's challenges, it is critical that we have the highest standards for rigorous, focused and engaging study, in order to develop students' innovative, collaborative, cooperative and problem-solving skills. We are extremely grateful for the support of Lockheed Martin and the innovative wisdom and foresight that has been shared in the areas of science, math and technology. They are helping us open doors for our students."
"Lockheed Martin is proud to partner with Norristown High School on this program and we look forward to expanding our engagement now that the school has received its certification," said Tracy Carter Dougherty, Director of Community Relations. "We know the importance of getting students interested and engaged in science and math at an early age, and actively working to build a pipeline of future engineers and scientists whenever and wherever we can.
