Dallas Military Ball Announces the Entertainment For 2010 Event
PRNewswire
DALLAS

Organizers for the 2010 Dallas Military Ball (DMB), which will take place April 17, 2010, at the Hotel InterContinental in Addison, Tex., today announced the entertainment lineup for this year's event.

Two-time Country Music Association "Male Vocalist of the Year" award-winning recording artist Lee Greenwood will be the featured entertainment for the evening, along with dance music provided by local favorites Buddy's Big Band. Additionally, the University of North Texas Graduate Brass Quintet will provide military Honors, and Rebecca Henricks, local country and western singer, will perform the National Anthem. Scott Murray, award-winning local journalist and businessman, will serve as the evening's Master of Ceremonies.

Established in 1965 by representatives of the Air Force Association, Association of the U.S. Army, Navy League, Marine Corps Association and other Reserve and National Guard organizations, the Dallas Military Ball has become a unified military voice for the North Texas area. Dedicated to honoring both Active and Reserve forces, the DMB offers a unique opportunity to salute those who are serving, thank those who have served and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

While the primary purpose of the Ball is to honor the military, net proceeds from the Ball will be distributed to several military relief agencies. Since the first DMB, more than $1.3 million has been distributed to these organizations over the years.

The theme this year is "Selfless Service, Strength of the Nation," and will honor the selfless sacrifice of Americans throughout history, in peace and in war.

Underwritten by North Texas citizens and business organizations, the Dallas Military Ball is a formal black tie event complete with military pageantry, a strong military presence and world-class entertainment. The DMB has afforded the opportunity for the community to meet members of our Armed Forces, including the senior leadership. General and Flag officers representing all of the Armed Forces and local Military Commanders expected to attend.

Tickets are available (and tax-deductible contributions benefiting military relief organizations can be made) on the Dallas Military Ball web site: www.dallasmilitaryball.org.
