Four local engineering professionals from Lockheed Martin have been recognized for their achievements in shaping the future of science, technology and engineering. The employees were named Modern Day Technology Leaders and were recognized at the Black Engineer of the Year Awards conference, in Baltimore, Md., on Feb. 19.

"We are very proud of the accomplishments of these outstanding individuals," said Bill Graham, Deputy Executive Vice President for Lockheed Martin's Information Systems & Global Services. "Their passion for innovation and dedication to our customers are the foundation of our success. We applaud these employees and congratulate them on earning this prestigious honor."

  The winners from the Philadelphia area are:

  --  Jason Loveland, Senior Systems Engineer, Valley Forge, Pa.
  --  Dawna Morningstar, Software Engineering Manager, Valley Forge, Pa.

The Black Engineer of the Year Awards Science, Technology and Engineering and Mathematics Global Competitiveness Conference is a three-day event offering workshops and professional development seminars. The honorees from Lockheed Martin will be recognized at a luncheon during the event, which runs February 18-20 in Baltimore.
