Lockheed Martin
The scope of the GMD Development and Sustainment Contract will be to "continue development, manufacturing, test, training, operations support, and sustainment support of the GMD Element" of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS), as announced by the MDA. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., at Fort Greely, Alaska, at Eareckson Air Station, Alaska, at Schriever Air Force Base, Colo., and at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. The MDA has announced that it expects to award the contract in 2011.
