Van Meter Elected to Smart Grid Interoperability Panel Governing Board

Lockheed Martin is pleased to announce that Ken Van Meter, Principal, Energy and Cyber Services for the Corporation's Enterprise Integration Group, has been elected to the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Smart Grid Interoperability Panel Governing Board.

Van Meter was elected based on his knowledge and extensive experience with high technology industries, including energy and telecommunications. The Smart Grid Interoperability Panel is a public-private partnership to support NIST in its endeavor to coordinate development of a framework that includes protocols and model standards for information management to achieve interoperability of smart grid devices and systems.
