Under this GSA Schedule 70 Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), Lockheed Martin and its team will provide a broad range of information technology (IT) maintenance and services across the EPA to enable secure information exchange, environmental data analysis, and aid in scientific investigation of geographic areas to generate informed decision making across the government and environmental community. This work will support the identification of danger zones, climate change modeling and Geographic Information Systems database management.
The ITS-EPA II agreement has a seven-year period of performance and a combined ceiling value of $955 million.
"Real-time knowledge and information are at the heart of protecting human health and the environment," said Lynn Singleton, director of Environmental Services in the Corporation's Information Systems and Global Services business area. "The Environmental Protection Agency must be able to rely on its IT infrastructure to enable quick and accurate analysis, decision and action in support of full range of environmental missions."
Lockheed Martin has provided IT services to support the EPA's mission since 1992, partnering on multiple program and task orders to ensure that EPA's IT infrastructure is maintained, protected and capable of supporting its full range of environmental missions.
In addition to providing IT support to the EPA, Lockheed Martin is working with its customers to address the nation's energy and climate challenges in the areas of energy efficiency, management, next-generation alternative energy generation and climate monitoring. The Corporation provides a full range of energy solutions to the government and regulated industry, including the Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, state and regional energy organizations, utilities and businesses.
Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security company that employs about 140,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
