Lockheed Martin will highlight the company's major programs at the 2009 Air Force Association Air Warfare Symposium, Feb. 26-27, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Fla. Presentations will focus on the performance and success of Lockheed Martin's F-35 and Air Mobility programs, and the F-22 cockpit demonstrator will be on hand for "flight" demonstrations.

  8 a.m. - 5 p.m. F-22 Raptor Cockpit Demonstrator Flights
  Host: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics
Location: St Johns 28 (refreshments provided)

The F-22 Cockpit Demonstrator is an interactive simulator used to show the advanced technologies and combat capabilities of America's only operational fifth generation tactical fighter aircraft. Reporters and crews will be given the opportunity to "fly" the F-22 Raptor air dominance fighter that is now operational with the U.S. Air Force. These demonstrator flights illustrate the Raptor's stealth, air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, sophisticated sensor fusion and advanced computational capabilities.

  8 - 9 a.m. F-35 Lightning II - Delivering the Next Generation of
                       TACAIR

Lockheed Martin Executive Vice President and F-35 Program General Manager Dan Crowley will provide a general program update. The F-35 program is solidly on track with unprecedented levels of risk reduction, achieving established milestones and retiring risk according to plan. Eight of 19 development aircraft have been delivered off a first-ever fighter moving assembly line. Three aircraft are in flight test and have accomplished a combined 83 flights, 63 of which concluded with no technical issues - impressive by any standard, but remarkable in first-of-type fighters. The presentation will focus on program status and upcoming milestones.
