The contract is being awarded by the Government's Most Efficient Organization (MEO), named "Integrated Security Support Solutions (IS(3))". IS(3) represents the first collaborative effort within the Department of Defense between an enterprise-wide MEO and a private industry company to compete as a single offeror according to the rules of the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 guidelines. This new organization, which is composed of Government civilian personnel and Lockheed Martin personnel, has been awarded the delivery order to provide CNIC non-guard security support services. Lockheed Martin will receive $350 million on a firm fixed price basis for initial task orders issued under this program and has the potential for up to $112M in additional IDIQ task order work. The period of performance is five years.
"We welcome the opportunity to work as part of IS(3) with the Commander, Naval Installations Command to provide these essential services," said Carey Smith, Vice President of Lockheed Martin's Technical Services. "We are pleased that our Lockheed Martin team was recognized as offering the highest quality service necessary to meet the security support needs of our Navy."
Under the task orders Lockheed Martin will provide commercial and mobile vehicle inspections, armory and ready-for-issue services, pass and ID support services, surveillance detection services and explosive detection dog services at 79 Navy installations throughout the U.S. and Guam.
