Lockheed Martin-Led Team Selected to Prototype New Space Situation Awareness Capabilities for U.S. Air Force

Lockheed Martin has been selected to develop capabilities in support of the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center's Space Situation Awareness mission. The contract is valued at $20 million over two years.

"The team is proud to support the delivery of operational prototype capability to the Joint Space Operations Center to address critical needs," said Don Speranzini, director of Operationally Responsive Command & Control for Lockheed Martin IS&GS Mission & Combat Support Solutions. "Exposing existing relevant data and intuitively providing information to users will assist the Air Force in delivering integrated services to address the challenging Space Situation Awareness mission."

The Lockheed Martin ISSA team, which includes Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, will perform majority of the work in Valley Forge, Pa., and Azusa, Calif.
