Lockheed Martin Employees Participate in National Multiple Sclerosis Society's MS-150 Bike Tour

ORLANDO, Fla.

More than 110 Lockheed Martin employees will participate in this year's Bright House MS- 150 Bike Tour, with a goal of raising more than $70,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

On April 29 and 30, participants will ride from Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL, to Sea World in Orlando, FL, and back, covering as much as 184 miles during the two-day event. All the funds raised will support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's educational, financial and cutting-edge research programs in an effort to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

"In the 23-county area served by the Mid-Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, more than 10,000 people are coping with the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis," said Tom Mirek, technical director - Fire Control Systems at Lockheed Martin and a board member of the Mid- Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. "Lockheed Martin is proud to field the largest team in the Mid-Florida MS-150 and to be a sponsor of the tour for the fourth year in a row. We hope that the contributions will help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society find a cure for MS and support the families in Central Florida who are affected by this debilitating disease."

Throughout the weekend, bike tour participants will enjoy a scenic route, festive rest stops and celebration meals. Prizes will be awarded to the participants who raise the most funds for the organization.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis. Founded in 1958, the Mid-Florida Chapter serves more than 63,000 people in a 23-county area, including family members, friends, caregivers and employers.
