Lockheed Martin Elects James M. Schneider to Board of Directors

BETHESDA, Md.

James M. Schneider has been elected to the Lockheed Martin Board of Directors, effective Dec. 2, 2005. Schneider is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Dell Inc.

Schneider, 53, joined Dell in September 1996 from MCI Communications Corp. in Washington, D.C. Before joining MCI in 1993, Schneider was associated with Price Waterhouse for 19 years, including 10 years as a partner.

Schneider is a graduate of Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis., and is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the board of directors of Dell Financial Services L.P., The Gap, Inc. and General Communication, Inc. He is also a member of the Financial Executives Institute.

Schneider will serve as an independent director of the board. He will also serve as a member of the Audit Committee and the Management Development and Compensation Committee, including the Stock Option Subcommittee.
