The National Security Agency (NSA) recently accepted the initial release of a highly integrated electronic security system from its systems integrator Lockheed Martin
"Our Lockheed Martin team looks forward to continuing our successful partnership with the National Security Agency in assuring the security and protection of our nation's most valuable assets," said Don Antonucci, president, Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions.
According to the Agency's website, the NSA "coordinates, directs, and performs highly specialized activities to protect U.S. government information systems and produce foreign signals intelligence information. A high technology organization, NSA is on the frontiers of communications and data processing. It is also one of the most important centers of foreign language analysis and research within the government."
Lockheed Martin has provided highly integrated electronic security systems for many of the United States' most sensitive facilities, including the Pentagon, military installations, and other critical government and transportation infrastructure. Lockheed Martin's teammates on the NSA program include AT&T, Intergraph Corporation, Lenel Systems International and Intelligent Decisions.
Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, Lockheed Martin employs about 130,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems, products and services.
