Lockheed Martin Names Kenneth J. Disken Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Lockheed Martin has announced that Kenneth J. Disken will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Human Resources, effective immediately. Additionally, the Corporation's Board of Directors elected Disken as a Corporate Vice President.

In this position, Disken will oversee all human resource functions and initiatives for the Corporation. This includes responsibility for recruiting and retention, professional leadership development, employee training, benefits, and diversity initiatives. Disken has served as acting Senior Vice President of Human Resources since January. He succeeds Ed Taft, who passed away last month.

Disken began his human resources career with RCA. As his career progressed, he served in numerous executive human resource leadership positions at the business and corporate level for Lockheed Martin heritage companies to include RCA, GE Aerospace and Martin Marietta. In 2003, Disken was named Human Resources Vice President for Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems business area.

Disken is a graduate of Rutgers University, and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
