Lockheed Martin Wins Role on $554 Million Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation IT Contract Vehicle

Lockheed Martin has been selected by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to pursue information technology task orders worth approximately $554 million for up to 10 years. The company and three competitors will vie for work involving application development and maintenance services for the agency.

The FDIC's Information Technology Application Services (ITAS) contract was created to provide FDIC with services for the development, modernization, and maintenance of application solutions for FDIC's corporate organization; including mission, administrative, financial, security, and personnel. The multiple award covers two base years with four additional two-year options.

Linda Gooden, president of Lockheed Martin Information Technology, said, "We are excited to support one of the most prestigious and trusted agencies in Federal Government with solid IT solutions and services. Just as the nation looks to FDIC to insure security of our banking system, we intend to engender the agency's continued trust in Lockheed Martin to deliver excellence in everything we do."

Lockheed Martin is the Nation's leading IT provider to the federal government. Ms. Gooden's organization provides application development, network, and business solutions to the Environmental Protection Agency, Social Security Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Energy, the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense healthcare agencies, and many others.

The company's teammates include CommGroup, DigitalNet, Verizon Federal Network Systems, Houston Associates, Johnston McLamb, WT Chen, Capgemini, Sogeti, Apptis, Number Six, and BMI Associates. The team will perform systems development tasks in information systems services, organizational and management services, data services software process improvement, and other related IT services.
