Accredited media are invited to the grand opening of Lockheed Martin Corporation's Center for Innovation in Suffolk, Va. The Center is a unique laboratory focused on the development of new operational concepts, net-centric solutions, and advanced technologies critical to the military's transformation efforts, the nation's war on terrorism, homeland defense and other important national missions.
The event offers reporters a unique opportunity to look into the future of advanced technology for defense and homeland security. An in-depth tour of this one-of-a-kind laboratory will give the media an opportunity to view, learn about and even "test drive" the next-generation technology that helps protect our national security. Follow signs to Interstate 64 (I-64) East (Virginia Beach /
Chesapeake). Continue on I-64 East, which becomes I-664 North
(Suffolk). Take the College Drive exit 8A (2nd exit) onto VA-135N,
College Drive. Take first left onto Harbour View Boulevard. Continue
to 8000 Harbour View Boulevard, and the Center for Innovation is the
first building on the left.

Take I-95 South. Near Richmond, merge onto I-295 South via exit 84A
on the left toward Rocky Mt., NC. Merge onto I-64 East via Exit 28A
toward Norfolk/Virginia Beach. Merge onto I-664 South via exit 264
toward Downtown/Newport News/Suffolk/Chesapeake. Take Exit 8A, VA-
