I-GUIDES is a flexible and easy to install software application which meets the needs of large and small businesses. Lockheed Martin, which last year became the first DoD contractor to deliver a product with UID, developed I-GUIDES to support its compliance with DoD requirements. To accelerate industry's support of DoD's UID initiative, Lockheed Martin is offering the I-GUIDES Compliancy application to DoD contractors and suppliers as either an application license for in-house installation or as a Web-based subscription service.
I-GUIDES performs numerous self-checks, works directly with a variety of printers or part marking devices, manages UID-related data, creates a process audit trail and transmits data to the customer.
"Lockheed Martin has adopted I-GUIDES as the application of choice for our own UID compliancy, and we are now sharing that expertise with others in government and industry," said Abby Rothman, Lockheed Martin UID program manager. "The Department of Defense UID policy is dynamic and will require ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance. I-GUIDES provides operators and management confidence that their process meets the policy requirements and can create significant cost savings by eliminating the need to develop and maintain an in-house solution."
Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, Lockheed Martin employs about 130,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems, products and services.
