Lockheed Martin has received a Platinum Source Preferred Supplier award from Northrop Grumman Corporation's Integrated Systems sector for consistently producing top-quality products and services that are delivered on-time and with an eye toward affordability. The Platinum Source Preferred Supplier award was presented to the Lockheed Martin's production facility in Clearwater, FL.

Of the more than 1,100 production suppliers to Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems, only 42 have achieved Platinum Source Preferred Supplier status. Lockheed Martin has served as subcontractor to Northrop Grumman on a variety of programs since 1995. The Clearwater facility provides repair service for the B-2 Aircraft Control Computers.

Northrop Grumman previously recognized Lockheed Martin for its work, presenting a certificate of appreciation for its support during Operation Iraqi Freedom and an award for superior and sustained supplier excellence.

"We are honored to receive this award from Northrop Grumman," said Steven Hill, site manager for the Clearwater facility. "We pride ourselves on providing high-quality products and services that are delivered on-time and on-budget. This award shows us that our work is recognized and appreciated by our customers. We value the trust they place in us, and look forward to working with them to provide superior defense solutions to countries throughout the world."

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, Lockheed Martin employs about 130,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems, products and services.
