Lockheed Martin Recognizes Rick Peters as President-Elect of Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company employee Raymond F. (Rick) Peters, a Support Integration and Systems Engineer, has been selected to serve as President-Elect of the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT). TAGT is a non-profit organization with a mission of promoting an awareness of the unique social, emotional and intellectual needs of gifted and talented students across Texas.

Peters will serve as chair of the Policy and Planning Committee and co- chair of the Government Relations Committee, among other duties. He has long been involved in the organization and has served as Third Vice President, Chair of the Parent/Community Involvement Advisory Council and as a member of the Governmental Relations Committee. He has also served in a variety of capacities with other organizations supportive of gifted and talented students.

"Rick has been an excellent advocate for children with gifts and talents for an extensive period of time that far exceeds his interests in supporting his own two children with these special learning abilities," said Norman Robbins, Lockheed Martin Community Relations Manager. TAGT has been positively impacting educational services and professional development for over 26 years. It is the nation's largest state advocacy group for children with gifts and talents.
