Lockheed Martin has been selected to share in task orders valued at $498 million under the U.S. Air Force's Enterprise Information Technology Acquisition (EITA) program. The program will focus on providing information technology products and services that will help speed transformation initiatives for combat support operations. The contract was awarded by the Materiel Systems Group (MSG), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The five-year EITA program will provide information technology services such as process improvement support, technology refresh, maintenance of legacy systems and new development solutions for MSG. EITA is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity support services contract. MSG provides information technology modernization and sustains legacy logistics systems that help enable logistics readiness and combat support capabilities.

"The enterprise-wide solutions that will be provided through the EITA program are absolutely key to establishing the collaborative work environment that battle commanders need," said Pete Rogers, Lockheed Martin's vice president for Combat Support Systems.

Lockheed Martin is one of five suppliers selected to share in EITA task- orders.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin employs about 130,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems, products and services. The corporation reported 2003 sales of $31.8 billion.
