What:            The National Rosie the Riveter Association's annual
                    conference will be held in Baltimore this weekend.
                    Lockheed Martin is proud to sponsor the event in honor
                    of the company's 75th anniversary in Baltimore.

   Background:      "Rosie the Riveter" is the term used to describe the
                    women of the 1940s who went to work when men were sent
                    off to war.  Hundreds of "Rosies" from around the
                    country will be attending the conference in Baltimore.
                    Lockheed Martin, the main sponsor of the conference,
                    will celebrate its 75th anniversary in Baltimore on
                    Oct. 7.  Many of the women attending the conference
                    worked at Lockheed Martin locations across the country.
