Lockheed Martin has named four new members to the executive staff, reporting directly to Richard F. Ambrose, president of the Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) Tactical Systems organization based in Eagan, Minn. Kevin Darrenkamp has been named general counsel; Wendy Underwood has been named vice president, Business Development; Michael LaRouche has been named senior executive, Navy C4ISR; and Venkat Ramnath has been named director, Program Quality.

MS2 Tactical Systems is a major supplier of ruggedized commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software subsystems for air, land and sea applications. It also upgrades surveillance aircraft mission systems, develops integrated communications systems and engineers complex command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems for both U.S. and international customers.

Darrenkamp has extensive experience in all aspects of government, commercial and international contracting, export law, employment law and litigation management. He has negotiated complex teaming arrangements and contracts, including those containing antitrust and data rights issues. He joins the Tactical Systems organization from Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training & Support in Orlando, Fla., where he was associate general counsel. Darrenkamp holds a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, with a minor in Computer and Information Science, from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich. He is a member of the Colorado and Michigan bar associations and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Underwood will have leadership responsibility for all business development activities across the Tactical Systems line of business. She joins the Eagan team from Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems & Solutions in Gaithersburg, Md., where she was director, Navy Command & Control and Advanced Sensors Programs. Underwood has a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a certified program manager.

Larouche will be responsible for developing the new Navy C4ISR business segment team, focusing on both domestic and international command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs. He joins the Tactical Systems organization from Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems & Solutions in Denver, where he led the Department of Defense Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems business. Larouche has a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Ramnath will be responsible for all elements of process, product, and program quality assurance across the business. He joins the Eagan organization from Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Sunnyvale, Calif., where he most recently served as a Lean & Six Sigma subject matter expert. Ramnath holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, and a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
