Integrated Coast Guard Systems (ICGS) today issued a broad industry announcement (BIA) seeking suppliers who may have new technologies and product capabilities that support the U.S. Coast Guard's Integrated Deepwater System Program.

"Deepwater is a national program, with suppliers from thirty-five states," said Mr. Dale Bennett, president of ICGS. "We are continuously in search of new suppliers who will bring innovation and broad expertise to this vital program and to the Coast Guard."

Under its Open Business Model, ICGS will continuously review new technologies, capabilities, and opportunities to provide solutions that meet the Coast Guard's Deepwater requirements, and will engage suppliers that can provide innovation in products and services to accomplish that goal. Specific areas of interest are:

 -- Command, Control, Communications and Computers, Intelligence,
    Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR)
 -- Integrated Logistics Support
 -- System Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT)
 -- Aviation Solutions
 -- Surface Solutions (Cutters)

The ICGS BIA is open to all potential suppliers, including those who participated in previous industry days.

The BIA response will be used to identify potential suppliers for an invitation to an August Industry Day sponsored by ICGS. Registration for consideration for the August Industry Day will close at 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time July 9, 2004.

About Integrated Deepwater System

IDS is a critical multi-year, multi-billion-dollar program to modernize and replace the Coast Guard's aging ships and aircraft, and improve command and control and logistics systems. It is the largest recapitalization effort in the history of the Coast Guard.

IDS was developed to guarantee the nation's maritime homeland security with the capabilities to maximize the warning, detection and response time available to Homeland Security decision-makers and to provide the necessary capabilities to execute those decisions.
