Lockheed Martin Team to Share in Potential $3 Billion VA GITSS ID/IQ Contract

A Lockheed Martin - led team has been selected to share in task orders potentially worth $3 billion to provide information technology and telecommunication products and services to all federal agencies through the Department of Veterans Affairs Global Information Technology Support Services (VA GITSS) program.

The eight-year VA GITSS program will give federal users access to the resources of the best IT and telecommunications companies. VA GITSS is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) support services program managed by BuyIT.gov, the VA's federal acquisition center, Austin, Texas.

GITSS services include: IT and telecommunications system integration; implementation and operations; information security; legacy system migration; web design and development; strategic planning and assessment; contingency operations implementation; electronic commerce support and software development.

Lockheed Martin is one of 10 suppliers selected for VA GITSS task-order contracts. BuyIT.gov specializes in information technology acquisitions on a fee-for-service basis.
