Lockheed Martin released today its news media briefing schedule for the Association of the United States Army trade show.

Embracing the show's theme of "The Army at War and Transforming," the company will highlight a variety of new transformational products and capabilities to meet the needs of the U.S. Army and its soldiers in service around the world. Unless otherwise stated, all briefings will take place at Lockheed Martin's booth, #1033, in Exhibit Hall E of the Washington Convention Center.

  Monday, October 6

1:00 p.m. -- Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) and a Transforming U.S. Army. David Seckinger, Executive Vice President, MEADS International, will describe MEADS' recent successful series of demonstrations and tests of its advanced lightweight launcher prototype in Brescia, Italy, and showcase recent images of the launcher, which is designed to rapidly initialize, self- load and vertically launch up to 12 Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missiles and is able to roll-on/roll-off C-130 transport aircraft.

Tuesday, October 7

10:00 a.m. -- Warfighters' Simulation: A Training Solution for the Current and Future Force. Presented by Col. Kevin Dietrick and Debra Palmer, Director of Lockheed Martin's Constructive Simulations Solutions, this presentation will describe simulation being developed and fielded that will provide war simulation and training. It will significantly heighten battle command training through enhanced realism and reduced exercise support staffing. This program offers real operational exercise conditions for commanders and staff.

11:00 a.m. -- Live Training Transformation: Achieving Mission Readiness. Lisa Callahan, director of both Lockheed Martin National Training Center -- Objective Instrumentation System and Lockheed Martin Common Training Instrumentation Architecture, will discuss Lockheed Martin's development of a live training product-line architecture encompassing a wide range of products, from fixed combat training centers to home station training systems that provide live training to Army units at their present locations or deployed.

Wednesday, October 8

11:00 a.m. -- Aerial Common Sensor Program. Wes Colburn, of Lockheed Martin Management & Data Systems, will provide an update on the Aerial Common Sensor Program (ACS) system, which is designed to replace both the Army's GUARDRAIL/Common Sensor (GR/CS) and the Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems.

11:30 a.m. -- Warfighter Information Network -- Tactical (WIN-T) Program; Team WIN-T Phase II Status. Jim Quinn, WIN-T program director, will provide an overview and discuss the status of two next-generation technology programs for the U.S. Army: the Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) and the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) programs. WIN-T is the Army's integrating communications network and ACS will be the Army's next-generation Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance system.

1:00 p.m. -- Line-of-Sight Antitank (LOSAT) Successes and Path to Fielding: A Joint U.S. Army/Lockheed Martin Briefing. Col. Lloyd McDaniels, PM-Close Combat Weapon Systems, Col. Mike Beasock, TSM-Close Combat Missile Systems and 1SGT Michael McChesney, Alpha Company, 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, will join Lockheed Martin's LOSAT business development manager Buster Thrasher to review the transformational system's recent flight test successes and program status from both the U.S. Army's and Lockheed Martin's perspective.

2:00 p.m. -- HIMARS: The New Battle-Proven Standard for Highly Mobile Fire Support. Presented by Rick Vallario, director -- Fire Support Business Development at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, this briefing will provide insight into the HIMARS system and path forward to the Future Force, as well as highlight the company's recent efforts in testing the MLRS family of munitions from this combat-proven HIMARS platform. A HIMARS launcher will be displayed in the Lockheed Martin booth.

3:00 p.m. -- FCS MULE: Breakthrough Technologies Powering the Next Generation Unmanned Vehicles. With a model of Lockheed Martin's Future Combat System (FCS) Multifunction Utility Logistics and Equipment (MULE) vehicle standing nearby, Mike Beck, FCS MULE program manager, and Jean Holleque, director of Lockheed Martin Combat Maneuver System, will provide details about the revolutionary new technologies and system design of the MULE vehicle. The briefing will describe how this highly mobile platform will meet the requirement of the Objective Force soldier for dismounted operations.
