Lockheed Martin's Marc Hansen to Receive Prestigious Eastern Technology Council Award

Marcus (Marc) C. Hansen, president of Lockheed Martin Management & Data Systems, has been selected to receive the Eastern Technology Council's Enterpriser Award. The award, given annually to a leader, team or company in the technology community, recognizes extraordinary achievement affecting the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Eastern Technology Council, a 1,200 member organization dedicated to the development and growth of the technology industry, will present Hansen with the award Dec. 3 during its 10th Annual Enterprise Awards ceremony at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Hansen has been president of M&DS since 1997. Under his leadership, the company has met or exceeded its financial goals every year while increasing annual sales from $1 billion to more than $2.2 billion. It has received several business awards and distinctions, achieved the highest technical accreditation ever accorded a single company, and earned recognition from Computerworld magazine as one of the "Top 100 Best Places to Work in IT."

Hansen is the Lockheed Martin Corporate Liaison to Pennsylvania State University. A recipient of the Penn State Eberly College Outstanding Science Alumni Award, he currently serves on several university advisory boards, including the advisory board for Penn State's School of Information Sciences and Technology. Hansen also serves on the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
