The NESS segment, part of Lockheed Martin's Systems Integration business area, serves navies and other customers around the world. Its capabilities include surface ship and submarine weapon systems, antisubmarine warfare and ocean surveillance systems, missile launching systems, radar and sensor systems, and airborne and ship systems integration services. The segment's principal businesses are located in Baltimore, MD; Eagan, MN; Moorestown, NJ; Syracuse, NY; and Manassas, VA.

"Fred Moosally brings strong leadership and customer focus to our naval electronics and surveillance systems business," said Robert B. Coutts, executive vice president of the Systems Integration business area. "He will build on the momentum created by Joe Antinucci to position these businesses as a strong, integrated and effective team that delivers outstanding service to our customers and creates significant value for Lockheed Martin's shareholders."

In addition to his duties as president of the NESS segment, Moosally will continue to serve as president of the NESS Surface Systems business in Moorestown, a post he has held since November 1999. Moosally joined Lockheed Martin in 1997 and served in executive capacities in business development, strategic planning and government relations. During a 24-year career in the U.S. Navy, Moosally held command positions aboard a guided missile destroyer and a battleship and served as the Navy's Deputy Chief of Legislative Affairs before retiring in 1990 with the rank of Captain. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received a master's degree in finance from Central Michigan University.

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, Lockheed Martin is a global enterprise principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems products and services.
