Lockheed Martin and Borders Books and Music Team Up With WXPN to Collect Coats

For SELF, Inc., a Homeless Services Provider

For the past two years, residents of the City of Philadelphia's homeless shelters have received more than 13,000 warm winter coats thanks to the 88.5 WXPN Holiday Coat Drive.

On Tuesday, November 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the XPN Holiday Coat Drive will kick off at Borders Books and Music, 1727 Walnut Street, Philadelphia.

Attending the event will be Helen Leicht, "Midday" host on XPN, Wendy A. Owen, Vice President, Communications of Lockheed Martin, and Leslie Brown, Director of Marketing and Development of SELF, Inc., the non-profit organization that helps Philadelphia's homeless population with counseling and other support services designed to develop strength of character and economic independence.

The Holiday Coat Drive event will include: XPN listeners dropping off new and used coats; SELF, Inc., "success stories" who will talk about their struggles and triumphs; and information on other coat drive participating Borders stores.
