Lockheed Martin to Announce Major Contribution to UNCF's Technology Enhancement Capital Campaign

November 16, 2000 - 12:40 p.m. Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel, Philadelphia, PA (Luncheon 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) WHAT: The chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin (LMCO), Dr. Vance Coffman will announce a major contribution in support of UNCF's Technology Enhancement Capital Campaign (TECC). TECC is an investment to radically change the higher education landscape by empowering students and faculty at UNCF colleges and universities with full access to technology, according to the UNCF President Gray. The presentation will be broadcast via satellite to UNCF-LMCO hosted events held simultaneously in Atlanta, GA and Washington, D.C. The Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin Technology Services (LMTS), Michael F. Camardo also will announce an initiative to provide speakers, beginning with former astronaut Ken Reightler, to Philadelphia area schools participating in the UNCF enrichment/mentoring program. In addition, Mr. Camardo will also announce a local gift to the Philadelphia chapter of the UNCF. LMTS is headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
