Lockheed Martin Aircraft & Logistics Centers has been awarded ISO 9001 registration from the independent registrar BSI, Inc., of Reston, Va.
ISO is a non-governmental worldwide body established in 1947, which today has representatives from over 130 countries. The most popular and widely-adopted of the five ISO standards is ISO 9001, the internationally recognized model for assuring consistency in design, development, production, installation, and servicing of products.
"ISO 9001 is an important discriminator that will help ensure we remain competitive in the aircraft products and services market," said Dan Patterson, President of LMALC. "Receiving our registration months ahead of our December target date was a monumental achievement."
