Lockheed Martin Management & Data Systems (M&DS) has been awarded an $8.8 million contract to be the Systems Integrator for the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigative and Traffic Safety Incident Information Management System or IIMS. Lockheed Martin M&DS will coordinate a wide-ranging project that will revolutionize the State's Police use of technology to fight crime.
"The goal of this extensive undertaking is to give troopers the most up-to-date technology tools so they can provide the most effective and efficient service to the citizens of the Commonwealth. Evanko.
The IIMS project will be implemented in two major phases, the first is the detailed design work and component selection included in this initial contract. The second phase will consist of the actual implementation and deployment of the technology. This project is a top priority for the Pennsylvania State Police to completely modernize its data systems for statewide dispatch, mobile computers for the entire mobile fleet, in addition to evidence, criminal and investigative management systems.
"We are proud to partner with the Pennsylvania State Police to help them streamline their paperwork to devote more time to fighting crime. Providing technology solutions for our customers is what we do best," said Stanton D. Sloane, executive vice president, Lockheed Martin M&DS.
